Bookkeeper – Accountancy Practice
Location: Swindon
Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 (depending on experience)
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking to build strong client relationships and deliver outstanding service within a dynamic accountancy practice? We have a fantastic opportunity for a professional and proactive Bookkeeper to join a thriving firm in Swindon.
The Role:
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their bookkeeping and VAT requirements are met with precision and care. You will play an essential role in client onboarding and ongoing relationship management, acting as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for your clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Efficient and accurate bookkeeping for a varied client base
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns
* Assisting with client onboarding, including system setup and data migration
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing exceptional service
* Supporting clients with software queries (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
* Working closely with the wider accounts team to ensure seamless service delivery
About You:
* Solid bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice
* Strong working knowledge of VAT rules and regulations
* Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills
* Proficient in cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
* Highly organised, with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client deadlines
* A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality service
