JOB – Graduate Mechanical Engineer
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (plus benefits)
My client is a specialist engineering company working across a range of sectors, including industrial machinery and bespoke mechanical solutions. They are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their team in East Grinstead.
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
* Knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and develop within the company
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
* Supporting the design and development of mechanical products and assemblies
* Creating 3D models, detailed drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
* Assisting senior engineers on live projects from concept through to production
* Liaising with production and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability of designs
* Contributing to continuous improvement and design optimisation initiatives
* Preparing technical documentation and supporting project delivery
