Job Title: Performance Analyst
Location: London / Remote
Duration: 2 month Initial contract
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Performance Analyst to join our digital team in supporting the continuous improvement of public services through data.
* Develop, maintain, and improve performance dashboards to support decision-making and service improvement.
* Use tools such as Google Analytics, BigQuery, and Microsoft Clarity to analyse user behaviour and engagement.
* Apply strong analytical skills to uncover trends, issues, and opportunities within user interaction data.
* Write advanced SQL queries to access and manipulate data, particularly within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and tools such as Dataform.
* Work with service teams and stakeholders to communicate insights effectively — turning complex data into clear, actionable stories.
* Collaborate across disciplines to ensure data and performance insights are central to service design and delivery.
* Contribute to the development of performance frameworks that align operational metrics with long-term strategic goals.
* Support SEO and digital content strategies to improve discoverability and reach of our services.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Experience designing and maintaining dashboards that support service performance and continuous improvement.
* Proficiency in using Google Analytics, BigQuery, and MS Clarity for digital performance analysis.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and present clear, evidence-based insights.
* Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience using cloud-based data tools such as those on Google Cloud Platform.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and present data-led findings to a range of stakeholders.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Familiarity with Dataform or similar data modelling tools.
* Experience developing or contributing to performance frameworks for digital or public services.
* Understanding of SEO principles and digital communications in the public sector.
