A highly inclusive, academically ambitious secondary school in Salisbury is recruiting a dedicated SENCO to lead their SEND journey from September 2025. This is a central leadership role shaping equity and access.
About the role:
You will oversee SEND throughout KS3–KS5, managing support plans, liaising with external partners, and building a culture of inclusion and high support.
Key responsibilities:

Line-manage SEND staff and coordinate learning support
*
Maintain EHCPs, ILPs, and compliance with SEND regulations
*
Provide CPD and mentoring to staff on inclusive practice
*
Collaborate with families and agencies to support student needs
*
Shape SEND policy and representation in school-wide strategic planning
Profile:
*
QTS with National SENCO Award (or working toward)
*
Strong leadership in SEND context, excellent organisational skills
*
Deep understanding of SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding
*
Empathetic, strategic, and data-driven approach
