About Our Client
Pen Heaven is a leading online retailer of personalised pens, leather accessories and stationery gifts. We have a market leading position in the UK, with a significant and growing presence abroad (predominantly USA, Canada, Australia).
Job Description
Duties:
3. Ensure all accounting records are accurate and kept up to date including;Bank reconciliations with online payment gatewaysCredit card statementsJournal entries for any required adjustments e.g. credit notes, refunds, rebates
4. End of month supplier payrun, including reconciliation of supplier statements and invoices
5. Payroll
6. Aged creditors report, and follow up on overdue amounts
7. Monthly management accounts, including reports on channel performance, to be communicated to managing director
8. Bi-weekly low margin report on a sku by sku basis
9. Prepare quarterly VAT return
10. Work with external accountants to prepare year end accounts and tax returns
11. Work with accounting software developers to ensure accuracy and completeness of records
The Successful Applicant
Required Skills & Experience:
12. Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
13. Responsibility for overall bookkeeping function for minimum of 2 years
14. Highly experienced with accounting software systems
15. Attention to detail
16. Strong knowledge of sales ledger, purchase ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable
Preferrable Skills:
17. Experience with Microsoft Navision
18. Understanding of online retail operations
