Facilities Assistant – PermanentLocation: CheltenhamSalary: £25,000
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Facilities Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance of the premises to a high standard and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of buildings and grounds.
* Assist with opening and closing procedures, including contractor access outside of standard hours.
* Support the implementation of planned preventative maintenance.
* Carry out minor repairs and respond to maintenance requests.
* Oversee minor works and ensure contractor compliance with safety standards.
* Provide logistical support including ordering, distribution, and storage of materials.
* Assist with the setup and breakdown of rooms and stands for events.
* Monitor cleaning services and ensure high presentation standards are upheld.
* Support the monitoring and maintenance of plant and equipment.
* Participate in out-of-hours support and alarm call-outs.
Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in facilities, building, or grounds maintenance.
* Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks across operational areas.
* Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
* DBS Check will need to be completed for this role
