St John’s (CE) Primary Academy is a warm and welcoming single school academy with a strong Christian ethos at its heart. We are dedicated to ensuring that all children and staff reach their full potential and flourish in a caring and ambitious environment.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, ambitious and committed full time class teacher for September 2025 to help our staff team to secure further positive outcomes for our children, families, and the wider community. Through good practice, enthusiasm for learning and the ability to inspire and motivate others, the successful candidate will harness the key strengths and energy of this Christian Academy. The position is not suitable for an Early Career Teacher as the role will involve subject responsibility.
We are looking for a full time teacher who:
• Has high expectations of pupil behaviour, themselves and children in their care
• Has the ability to challenge learners at all levels
• Has experience of adapting work with a variety of learning needs including SEND pupils
• Has a good understanding of how data can be used to improve progress and standards
• Is a reflective practitioner, who can take on board feedback, adapt to changes and share practice
• Has a thorough knowledge of teaching and assessment practices in KS1 and KS2
• Can demonstrate effective organisational skills
• Can communicate at all levels of the school community
• Works collaboratively to plan and deliver a broad and engaging curriculum
• Is willing to contribute fully to school life, demonstrating enthusiasm and dedication to whole-school development
