We are offering an exciting opportunity for band 5 Therapeutic Radiographers to join our team in a forward thinking radiotherapy department at Velindre Cancer Service.
Velindre Cancer Service consists of two radiotherapy departments, one in Cardiff and one in Abergavenny.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Therapeutic Radiographer wishing to expand their knowledge and experience at a purpose built Cancer Centre , providing world class cancer care to the people of South East Wales.
Interviews will be undertaken face to face only
Base will be Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff or Velindre at Nevill Hall Radiotherapy Unit, Abergavenny - to be requested at interview.
To work in all areas of the radiotherapy department i.e. on treatment units (linear accelerators, Orthovoltage, and Flexitron), and in the pre-treatment area, carrying out accurate and consistent pre treatment and treatment techniques.
To help organise the work load in the various functions of the department.
To be part of a large multi-disciplinary team and to be involved in the total care of patients undergoing radiotherapy.
To take part in the training and supervision of students.
To work flexibly according to the demands of the service including weekends and across more than
one site.
To participate in CHART and on-call working as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
