A leading Financial Services organisation with a network of offices across the UK. They are currently recruiting for a Category Manager - Marketing & Print to join the procurement team. The role is based in Birmingham and offers flexibility for hybrid working.
Your new role
The Category Manager - Marketing & Print will partner with key stakeholders in the functions and will be responsible for the development and implementation of the procurement strategy. The role will deliver category management strategies to drive efficiency and ensurepliance with regulatory requirements. The Category Manager - Indirect will manage suppliers to develop collaborative relationships, drive performance, ensurepliance with allpany and legal requirements, and mitigate business risk. The post holder will lead related procurement activities, manage tender programmes, and negotiate and implement contracts.
1. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather, assess, and challenge business requirements.
2. Coordinate the delivery of processes and initiatives, establishing best-in-class policies, processes, and services.
3. Develop and implement the Category Strategy when not supported by a Global Category Manager.
4. Manage UK&I Procurement processes, policies, and procedures (, RFP, RFI) in line with local and Group requirements.
5. Negotiate and implement contracts for Indirect Categories, ensuringpliance with agreed service, performance, quality, and delivery levels.
6. Understand budget approaches with Finance and business budget owners to ensure budget definition, utilisation, optimisation, andpliance.
7. Utilise procurement tools and best practices to increase efficiency and quality, contributing to procurement savings and KPI objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, it is essential that you are a senior-level Category Manager with recent experience of marketing and print based procurement. You will have ledplex and high-value procurement projects, and have developed and delivered indirect category management strategies within a large andplex organisation. Previous experience with the Financial Services, Professional Services, Corporate Services or related sector is essential.
