As a Wind Turbine Technician, you won’t be just another number on a spreadsheet – you’ll be the forefront of innovation, making a tangible impact on the future of our planet.
You will be responsible for:
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime
* Inspect turbine components, including blades, nacelles, and towers, for any signs of damage or wear
* Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic equipment
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying cause of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
* Collaborate with a team of technicians to complete scheduled maintenance tasks and respond to unscheduled repairs
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new wind turbines
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with complex machinery
* Minimum of 2 years experience on wind turbines in a technician capacity
* Experience with Vestas, Siemens or Nordex Turbines is essential
* Experience in building or repairing mechanical or electrical systems is highly desirable
* Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and ability to read electrical schematics
* Familiarity with logic controllers used in wind turbine operations
* Ability to perform root cause analysis to identify equipment failures and implement effective solutions
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Experience of being an Authorised Technician under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
It would be desirable to have:
* Experience of being an Authorised Engineer under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
* Full GWO, Working at Heights and a Medical.

Location: UK Wide
Hours: 40 hours per week. It would always be our aim for work-life balance to try and ensure that you have your weekends to yourself. However, we have to appreciate the needs of our customers therefore there may be some weekend requirements.
