Job Description
Role Purpose:
To work alongside the Store Manager to achieve business goals by managing, motivating, leading, and inspiring your team. Drive store performance to increase revenue and profit, and develop the retail business.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Sales
2. Maximise sales through effective team management
3. Drive KPIs such as footfall, conversion, and AOV
4. Optimize floor space to boost sales potential
5. Set and review sales budgets with your line manager
Customer
1. Ensure high levels of customer service
2. Develop team skills to improve mystery shopper results
3. Deliver and maintain first-class visual merchandising and presentation standards
Costs
1. Monitor and review store-related costs regularly
2. Minimize losses to maximize profitability
3. Manage payroll within budgets
4. Implement procedures to reduce stock loss
Security
1. Adhere to cash handling policies
2. Conduct quarterly security audits
3. Oversee store security, including subcontracted guards
4. Monitor till activity and perform staff security checks
Operations
1. Coordinate with head office for stock replenishment, especially during peak times
2. Work with warehouse teams for efficient delivery schedules
3. Ensure stockroom management best practices
Marketing
1. Collaborate with marketing for product launches, events, and POS activities
Knowledge & Experience
1. Proven retail management success with target achievement
2. Experience in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
3. Strong relationship-building skills
4. Effective resource allocation experience
5. Autonomous management capabilities
6. People management, development, and succession planning experience
7. Excellent merchandising skills
8. Interest in football is desirable
