Our client, a prominent entity within the London Public Sector is seeking a proficient Clerk of Works (Project Delivery) on a contract basis to contribute to their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and monitoring the construction activities on-site for the Council's Capital Project programme.
* Ensuring compliance with building regulations and safety standards by inspecting workmanship and materials.
* Liaising with term contractors, subcontractors, other departments, utility companies, and external organisations.
* Documenting and reporting on project progress, site activities, and any issues observed during site inspections.
* Providing expert advice on quality control and construction techniques.
* Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation measures as necessary.
* Working collaboratively with project managers to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
* Ensuring the highest standards of site safety and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
Job Requirements
* Experience as a Clerk of Works or in a similar role within the construction industry.
* A comprehensive understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
* Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality and standards.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and documentation.
* Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly to ensure project milestones are met.
* Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering or related fields are advantageous
