Vehicle Service Technician
1. Location: Telford
2. Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 (dependent on experience) + £400/month sustainable bonus
3. Contract Type: Permanent
4. Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (paid at overtime rate)
We’re currently recruiting for a Vehicle Service Technician to join our experienced workshop team in Telford. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality servicing and repairs, with training and development provided to help you progress in your career.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs across a wide range of vehicles
6. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults using modern diagnostic tools
7. Conduct thorough safety checks and road tests to ensure all work meets required standards
8. Liaise closely with the workshop and service teams to deliver excellent customer experiences
9. Complete relevant documentation and service records accurately
10. Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organised workspace
About You:
11. Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience)
12. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a technician in a workshop environment
13. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities
14. Good attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
15. Able to work both independently and as part of a team
16. Full UK driving licence required
17. Level 2 qualification also considered with relevant hands-on experience
