Job Description

Registered Manager - Children's Residential HomeLocation: Long EatonFull-Time | PermanentStarting salary from £55,000 - with scope for significant increases based on experience, performance, and occupancy milestones

Are you ready to lead from the front and shape a brand-new home from the ground up?

We are looking for a passionate and capable Registered Manager to take charge of a newly renovated three-bed children's home in Long Eaton, designed to provide a therapeutic, safe, and nurturing environment for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with full autonomy. The home will be empty on appointment, meaning you'll have the unique advantage of building your own team, embedding your ethos, and leading the registration journey with OFSTED on your terms. For experienced leaders, this blank canvas is a powerful platform to create lasting impact.

* Starting salary of £55,000, with clear progression routes - including increases tied directly to home occupancy and performance, ensuring your earnings reflect your contribution and impact

* Further salary uplift and generous bonus available for dual registration of a second home, giving ambitious managers the chance to expand their leadership and maximise their income

* Additional 4 well-being days each year, on top of your annual leave, because your health and work-life balance matter to us

* Full support through the OFSTED registration process and beyond - while giving you the independence to manage and grow the home in your own vision

* Interviews available this week or early next week - move quickly and secure a role with strong long-term potential

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the full operational management of the home, embedding a culture of safety, respect, and therapeutic care

* Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team dedicated to improving outcomes for children

* Oversee the full OFSTED registration process and ensure ongoing compliance with all regulations

* Implement robust safeguarding, risk management, and behaviour support policies tailored to the needs of the young people

* Manage budgets and resources efficiently to support sustainable, high-quality care delivery

* Champion a child-focused ethos that puts emotional well-being, stability, and progress at the heart of every decision

Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Already OFSTED Registered (or with experience in managing or preparing a home for registration)

* Proven background in children's residential care, preferably with EBD experience

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or close to completion)

* Strong decision-maker who thrives on autonomy and leadership responsibility

* Committed to delivering outstanding care and inspiring a team to go above and beyond
