Synergetics is currently seeking a consultant (contract only) who is in the UK, willing to travel, who has five to seven years consulting experience. This consultant will have experience with value stream mapping, process mapping, excellent understanding of salary spend vs. non-salary spend, and heavy analysis of data utilizing Excel (must be advanced in Excel.) This contract is projected to start immediately and will last for 3 months.

This position is a contract position, with travel to client site(s) expected. They will work with a small team and be a strong contributor. This position is hands on analysis, with the ability to explain and tell a story with data.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Engage with clients to understand the current state of their business and establish positive relationships that build credibility
2. Gather and analyze relevant data, conduct client interviews, and visit facilities to observe operations first-hand
3. Identify and catalog problems, challenges, risks, and opportunities
4. Develop performance metrics and construct reports that effectively represent current state and desired future state
5. Develop and evaluate alternative strategies to achieve specific savings objectives
6. Create and utilize workplans to effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks with a high sense of urgency across one or more workstreams
7. Create reports and presentations for use in communicating findings to client management and implementation teams; present “the story”
8. Work with clients to define requirements for tools, systems, and processes; recommend design improvements; then, provide implementation oversight including creating documentation, delivering training, and coaching
9. Work in a hands-on mode until potential alternatives are exhausted and future state procedural workstreams are in place, tested, and fully functioning
10. Interact with peers to foster your support network, and empower career development
Required Experience and Skills
11. 5 to 7 years of management consulting, professional services, and industry
12. Proven critical thinking skills in both data collection and complex analysis; ability to identify data gaps and risks, develop sound conclusions, and create implementable and sustainable recommendations for improvement
13. An entrepreneurial mindset to collaborate with project team members / clients to design and implement effective solutions to complex business problems; continuously evaluate to uncover new opportunities
14. Exemplary skills across Microsoft Office including Excel data analysis, statistical review, and modeling, and Power Bi
15. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to create communications that “tell the story”, and effectively deliver presentations of content in a customer-facing forum
Education
16. Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, IT
17. Master’s degree preferred

Synergetics works with clients across different locations. Travel to client sight will be required based on your assignment and contract specifications.
