Position Description
Position Summary
Messiah University seeks a proven leader to direct the Collaboratory for Strategic Partnerships and Applied Research. The Collaboratory provides learning opportunities for students through engineering-focused projects that meet the needs of our partners in missions and partners serving under-privileged communities. The director will join the leadership team in the Department of Engineering to oversee all aspects of the Collaboratory, including donor development, strategic planning, day-to-day operations and curricular innovation.

Primary Duties
The director will:
* Establish and lead a positive culture toward fulfillment of the Collaboratory mission,
* Lead ongoing strategic planning in partnership with ENGR department leadership,
* Coordinate program delivery across several engineering project sectors,
* Plan and deliver discipleship and leadership development programming,
* Facilitate external advisory and student leadership boards,
* Manage Collaboratory budgets including operations, fundraising, and donor relations,
* Supervise student leaders and work-study students, and
* Travel internationally with student site teams and for project or donor development, following university protocols for risk management.
