Location: Remote, with occasional travel required Reporting to: Financial Controller Role Overview: This senior role supports all aspects of financial reporting, governance, and controls within the sector. You will manage audits, maintain the financial controls framework, provide technical accounting guidance, and ensure compliance with regulatory and group standards. The role requires influencing senior stakeholders, delivering high-quality outputs, and driving continuous improvement across financial processes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate internal and external audits. Develop, implement, and maintain sector-wide financial controls and governance frameworks. Provide technical accounting advice and prepare high-quality reports for senior management and auditors. Monitor compliance, identify risks, and implement resolutions. Review statutory accounts and ensure adherence to accounting standards. Collaborate with business teams to improve financial processes and efficiency. Deputise for the Financial Controller when required. Requirements: Must be Big 4 trained ACA/ACCA or equivalent recognised professional qualification Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in commercial contracts Proven experience in senior finance roles, ideally within large, geographically spread organisations Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering results under pressure Salary & Benefits: £70,000-£76,000 per annum Annual bonus Car allowance Remote working with flexibility Exposure to strategic decision-making and complex financial reporting projects Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
