We have a fantastic opportunity for a Responsible Welding Coordinator to join us on a 6-month contract, working on site at TeesWorks. Our Nuclear & Infrastructure division has extensive experience in the specialist, highly regulated nuclear, transport (road and rail), process industries and power and energy sectors. Providing award winning design teams, utilising state-of-the-art design software and Tekla detailing facilities to offer customers value engineering. This gives a mix of proven success along with modern, innovative design and fabrication ideas to be able to provide a quality, specialised service to a growing market. They continue to set the bar high in their highly regulated market! Vacancy Details In the Responsible Welding Coordinator position you will play a key role in ensuring welding activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR) in accordance with EN 1090-2 and ISO 3834 standards. Oversee and coordinate all welding activities to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. Conduct welding inspections and audits to verify adherence to WPS and WPQR requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to welding personnel, ensuring proper implementation of welding procedures. Maintain accurate records of welding procedures, qualifications, and inspections. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and quality control teams to address welding-related issues and ensure project timelines are met. Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in welding technology and standards. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to welding activities. Essesntial Qualifications Certified Welding Engineer (IWE/EWE) Extensive experience in structural steel welding, and or offshore wind farm industry. In-depth knowledge of EN 1090-2, and ISO 3834 standards. Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and techniques. Excellent attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections and audits. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various teams. Proficiency in using welding inspection tools and equipment. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field. Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
