About the role
An exciting new role at North Northamptonshire Council within the Housing Solutions Service, the Reviews Officer will be responsible for the statutory housing review process under Part 7, Section 202 of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended), ensuring that decisions made by the Housing Advice and Options Service are robust, legally compliant, and fair.
As Reviews Officer, you will manage complex and high-profile homelessness reviews, working closely with internal teams, legal services, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes. You will also play a vital role in service improvement by identifying learning from reviews, supporting staff development, and promoting consistency in decision-making.
Working across the Housing Advice and Options and Single Homelessness services, you will support relevant managers to ensure robust outcomes, joined-up working across the service and effective collaboration with a wide range of internal teams and partner organisations.
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of homelessness legislation, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage a complex caseload. We are looking for someone who is legally astute, solution-focused, and passionate about delivering fair and effective housing services.
The role will require the post holder to operate across the North Northamptonshire area.
