Role: Specifications Technologist Location: Histon, Cambridgeshire (Hybrid) Hain Celestial UK is home to some of the UK’s most loved food brands - from Ella’s Kitchen and Linda McCartney’s to Hartley’s and Sun-Pat. We are now looking for a Specifications Technologist to join our Group Technical team and help ensure our products are accurately specified, compliant, and beautifully presented on shelf. This is a hybrid role based from our Histon, Cambridgeshire site, offering the opportunity to work with multiple iconic brands across our portfolio. You will play a key role in managing retailer and branded specifications and supporting the artwork process across Hain Celestial UK. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure everything from ingredient lists to packaging claims is accurate, compliant and approved on time. Your key responsibilities will include: Creating, maintaining and managing retailer and branded product specifications Supporting artwork creation, checking and approving pack copy to ensure it is legally compliant and technically accurate Coordinating with NPD, R&D, Quality, Marketing and Supply Chain to gather and validate technical information Managing specification approvals and ensuring deadlines are met Ensuring nutrition, health and marketing claims meet UK and EU regulations Keeping up to date with retailer policies and food labelling legislation Maintaining accurate and well-organised specification and documentation systems Supporting audits and responding to any specification-related non-conformances Providing cover for other Specification Technologists when required What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment, is highly detail-focused, and enjoys working with complex data and multiple stakeholders. You’ll bring: An HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a food or science-related discipline At least 2 years’ experience in the food industry Proven experience managing retailer specifications (essential) Strong knowledge of food labelling, food safety and UK/EU regulations Experience using Hamilton Grant (preferred) High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects Confident communication skills and a collaborative working style What can we offer you?
