Overview

Job title: Senior Activities Coordinator

Location: Collingwood Grange Care Home, Collingwood Grange Close, Off Portsmouth Road, Camberley GU15 1LD

Salary: £12.90 - £13.90 per hour, depending on experience

Contract: Permanent

Shift Pattern: 5 x 9:00am – 5:30pm, alternate weekends

Responsibilities

* Running a morning and afternoon activity session. Activities are tailored to residents and can include musical acts, days out, exercise classes, visitors from the community, arts and crafts, and other engaging options.
* Producing and updating an activity planner for the home, and managing a set activities budget.
* Supporting residents and encouraging participation in activities.
* Organising birthday surprises and coordinating events, performers, and days out.
* Liaising with external companies and local community performers to organise days out/events at the home.
* Assisting with breakfast, lunch and dinner duties when necessary.
* Organising one-to-one sessions with residents (e.g., reminiscence tools, puzzles, reading, or chats).
* Updating paperwork, care plans, activity notes, and managing emails.
* Supporting the home with social media channels as required.


Qualifications & Skills

* You are a creative thinker with plenty of ideas who can manage budgets and maintain paperwork, effectively prioritising as needed.
* Genuine interest in caring for others, with the ability to motivate colleagues and build community links.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive, caring approach.
