The successful Biology Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the wonders of the living world and biological processes. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging Biology Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of biological topics. Prepare students effectively for GCSE Biology examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of key biological concepts. Foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment where students can explore the natural world. Assess and monitor student progress in biology, providing clear and constructive feedback as a Biology Teacher. Contribute to the ongoing development of the biology curriculum and the creation of engaging resources. Encourage student participation in practical experiments and scientific investigations in biology. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Biology or Science with a strong biology background. Demonstrated experience in teaching Biology at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4). A strong and comprehensive knowledge of biological principles and effective teaching methodologies. Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex biological ideas clearly and engagingly as a Biology Teacher.
