In this role you will be working within the Engineering directorate to manage and develop our asset risk management capability for the NPg electricity distribution systems including the development of asset investment strategy and plans, asset plan optimization, and candidate selection.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and develop the assets risk and health index models for a particular plan area such as LV and HV overhead lines
2. Develop risk modeling tools and capabilities within the business and national frameworks
3. Support internal and external reporting of health indices
4. Effectively communicate with internal/external engineering bodies
5. Produce asset renewal candidates to inform capital scheme development
6. Support colleagues across the organization develop and justifying both asset intervention strategies and individual project solutions

* Experienced in all areas of risk management
Qualifications and Attributes:
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Level 5 or 6 (HND, degree, or equivalent) in STEM subject, or a level 4 qualification (e.g., HNC) with at least three years of relevant experience
* Highly proficient in the use of Excel, Access, or equivalent tools to source and interpret data from a variety of sources and produce standard and non-standard reports
* Experience of risk modeling
* Knowledge of the principles of power systems and the associated assets within the systems
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
* Professional membership/chartership/working towards chartership (e.g. MIET)
* Project management qualifications
* Knowledge of UK electrical distribution equipment including the LV, HV, EHV, and 132kV networks
* Appreciation of regulation within the UK
* Experience managing projects or programs of work
* Experience in using SQL and NoSQL databases and manipulating data using tools like Excel, Oracle Analytics, Power BI, or equivalent
* Full driving license
