Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join a laboratory-based role in a leading Mineral Processing Testing Facility in Europe. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with alternating shifts: one week 06:30–14:30, the next week 11:30–19:30. The position offers the opportunity to develop practical skills while supporting the wider metallurgical team in delivering high-quality testing and analysis. Note: the lab location is not easily accessible by public transport and the commute should be considered when applying.
Responsibilities
* Preparing samples for testing in accordance with laboratory requirements.
* Following written procedures and standard operating instructions.
* Undertaking basic standardised tests independently.
* Providing support and assistance to metallurgical staff as required.
* Carrying out general laboratory duties.
* Maintaining, calibrating, and cleaning laboratory equipment as appropriate.
* Working safely at all times and adhering to company Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and COSHH regulations.

* Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent).
* Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
