The Position We are currently seeking an experienced, friendly and adaptable Delivery Driver/Goods Inwards/Outwards Assistant to help with the delivery of our customers' orders, providing exceptional customer service and prompt delivery. The successful candidate would also be based in the warehouse department where all deliveries for the store are received and booked in via our warehouse system, while orders are despatched through a variety of channels including our own delivery vans and couriers. What we offer Competitive salary 29 days holiday per calendar year inclusive of bank holidays A contributory company pension scheme after 3 months service Free onsite parking Staff uniform Full induction and comprehensive training Incentive scheme Social events Long service awards Career progression Responsibilities To make store deliveries to salons within your area when necessary Replenish stock on shelves adhering to company procedures Checking deliveries against the delivery note Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes Follow routes and time/delivery schedule Load, unload, prepare, check and operate delivery van Collect payments Assist and arrange for items to be dispatched Accurately recording damaged or missing items Stock is put out on shelf to company procedures Raising supplier notifications or discrepancy forms Moving stock around by hand Accurately processing paperwork, including using computer system Working closely with all areas of the store Adheres to Health & Safety policies and quality standards Keep up to date with all promotional activity Inform customers about new products and services Complete logs and delivery schedule report Maintain a clean and safe work environment Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service Handle all products with care and attention to detail Adhere to safety programs and compliance for a safe work environment Follow company procedures and standards Requirements Full clean UK Driving Licence Proven experience as a Delivery Driver/Goods In Assistant Good PC skills - general use of computer keyboard Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to operate various pieces of equipment - in particular a Forklift Great attention to detail Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality Thorough and punctual Good physical strength and stamina Working hours and Job Location The working hours for this role are 36.75 hours a week Monday to Thursday 8.15am - 5.00pm, Friday 8.15am - 1.00pm Aston & Fincher Ltd is based in Unit 9 Denvale Trade Park, Galdames Place, Ocean Way, Cardiff, CF24 5PF.
