We're looking for an Apprentice Paralegal to join our Commercial Contracts team based in Cambridge, working towards a Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship.

How does an apprenticeship work?
As an Apprentice Paralegal, you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 Paralegal apprenticeship, giving you the opportunity to earn while you learn. You'll work with our Kier Construction team, which collaborates with public sector and blue-chip organizations to deliver outstanding construction projects. You will gain understanding of corporate governance, contractual management, procedures, and leverage our strategic capabilities and digital construction to help clients meet decarbonization goals.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Assisting Contract Officers with preparing Permissions to Proceed (PTP) for project tender and framework opportunities.
* Supporting Contract Officers and Technical Administrators in negotiating and resolving terms and conditions both upstream and downstream.
* Liaising with internal Kier departments regarding parent company guarantees, bonds, and insurances, and updating documents accordingly.
* Compiling, checking, and tracking contract documents.
* Working with the Eastern & Midlands team, covering a wide geographical area, utilizing varied contract forms, and gaining exposure to public and private clients.
What are we looking for?
The role of Paralegal Apprentice is suitable if:
* You hold 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C/L4 or above.
* You hold or are expecting 2 A Levels or equivalent.
* You have an interest in Business Law, Corporate Law, Contract Law, or governance.
* You can work collaboratively as part of a team.
* You are punctual, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
