Adult Education Tutor (Parenting Programmes)
Salary: Sessional/Tertiary/Casual - £24.43/hour

Responsibilities
Deliver groupwork to parents and carers to support provision coordinated within the Parent and Carer Support, Wellbeing and Child Poverty Team.
Facilitate universal and targeted evidence‑based parenting courses to other parents and carers across Edinburgh.
Plan, prepare, deliver and facilitate programmes ensuring fidelity to the course materials. Programmes can run from 3‑14 weeks (commitment usually 2‑3 hours a week).
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in supporting families and facilitating group work is desirable, along with excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and sensitivity to diverse cultures and backgrounds.
This is a casual tertiary contract with no minimum hours guaranteed.
Background Checks & Regulations
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
