I'm working with a fast-moving branded food business based in Manchester that’s looking for a National Account Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a Sales Executive, Commercial Executive, or Account Executive who’s ready to take that next step in their FMCG career.
They have a strong presence across both retail and foodservice, and they’re known for bringing exciting, household-name products to market. The team is passionate, collaborative, and commercially sharp—and they’re looking for someone with similar energy and drive.
The Role:
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll be managing and developing key accounts within retail or foodservice. You'll have direct ownership of day-to-day relationships, as well as the opportunity to contribute to strategic account planning and business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and building relationships with national customers
* Working on forecasts, promotional plans and commercial analysis
* Supporting the launch of new products in collaboration with NPD and marketing
* Monitoring performance and identifying ways to drive growth across your accounts
* Working closely with internal teams across supply chain, finance and marketing to ensure delivery and execution
This is a full-time office-based role, so it suits someone who thrives on collaboration and enjoys learning by being around experienced teams day-to-day.
What They’re Looking For:
This role is ideal for someone early in their commercial career—perhaps currently working in a sales support, national account executive, or junior commercial role within an FMCG business.
The successful candidate will likely have:
* 1–3 years’ experience in a commercial or customer-facing role (FMCG preferred)
* Strong communication and organisation skills
* Confidence with data and commercial performance
* A proactive approach and real willingness to learn
* The drive to build a career in account management
Why Apply?
The company offers more than just a job—they’re committed to helping their people progress. You’ll be supported by a strong leadership team and benefit from tailored development opportunities, including regular reviews and exposure to senior stakeholders.
There’s a clear route into a Senior National Account Manager position, and longer term, the chance to explore roles across category, marketing or broader commercial leadership—depending on where you see your future.
You’ll also benefit from a competitive salary, car allowance, bonus scheme, and the opportunity to work on some of the most recognisable food brands in the UK.
If you’re ready to step up into a national account role and want to join a business that’s growing, values-led, and full of opportunity—please get in touch. I’d love to tell you more.
