We can’t do this without the fundamental key support of functions such as our procurement and contracts team, providing professional advice to teams, protecting our income and expenditure, and ensuring best value for money is achieved.
We are looking for someone to join our team – the procurement arm of a remit covering Property Management and Commercial contracts across HRP, led by the Head of Procurement and Contracts.
Key Responsibilities
* Focus on procurement and contracting activity across an eclectic mix of categories including marketing, uniforms, visitor catering, live interpretation and public event production, consultancy, professional services and training.
* Manage approximately £30m of income/expenditure related contracts per year, working across all HRP sites: Hampton Court Palace, HM Tower of London, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace, Banqueting House and Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.
* Lead higher‑value and more complex work, delivering a professional, flexible and efficient service; manage procurement processes and contract negotiations end‑to‑end, ensuring compliance with Public Procurement Regulations where relevant.
* Plan, prioritise, and multitask effectively; manage stakeholder relationships and maintain commercial awareness; stay current on framework contract offerings from Crown Commercial Services and the London Universities Purchasing Consortium.
* Work flexibly across different sites with a home / hybrid working component, based at Hampton Court Palace with occasional travel to other palaces.
Qualifications
* Experience of public sector procurement.
* MCIPS (or equivalent) qualification or progression along the pathway.
Salary: £51,209.29 per annum
