This is a part-time SEN Teaching Assistant role in a mainstream primary school, supporting a Year 1 pupil in the afternoons. The school is looking for someone who can bring consistency, patience, and a calm presence, particularly during the post-lunch period when regulation and routine matter most. You will spend part of each afternoon providing 1:1 support, alongside working as a general Teaching Assistant within a KS1 classroom. The focus of this role is building a positive, trusting connection with the pupil and contributing to a stable classroom environment. Key responsibilities * Provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil for one hour per day * Support learning and behaviour within a KS1 classroom for the remainder of the afternoon * Help maintain calm, consistent routines after lunch * Work closely with school staff to ensure continuity for the pupil * Follow guidance from the SENCO if challenges arise What we are looking for * Experience supporting children with additional needs in the classroom - experience support Autism or Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) would be idea * An approach that values consistency and relationship-building * Ability to work calmly during potentially challenging parts of the day * Willingness to work as part of a wider classroom team * Availability to work five afternoons per week Role details * Mainstream primary school in CV2 * Afternoon hours only, 12:30pm to 3:30pm * Five afternoons per week * Ongoing until the end of the academic year * Start date: ASAP Why Sprint?
