The Business Development Manager role is key to driving growth and expanding our customer base at Park Electrical. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and increasing sales revenue across your territory. Working closely with internal teams, you will ensure customers receive excellent service while maximising long term value.
What do we ask from you?
* Identify and develop new business opportunities within your designated area and target markets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive repeat business.
* Proactively generate leads through networking, site visits, and industry connections.
* Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, ensuring consistent sales performance and customer satisfaction.
* Work closely with internal sales and branch teams to deliver seamless customer service and support.
* Prepare and present tailored quotations, proposals, and solutions to meet customer requirements.
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to secure profitable business.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
* Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry events to promote the Park Electrical brand.
* Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the business.
* Provide regular updates and reports on pipeline activity, sales performance, and opportunities.
* Ensure excellent communication between customers and internal departments including sales, warehouse, and logistics teams.
* Other duties may be required.
Qualifications / Experience
* Proven experience in a sales or business development role is preferred, ideally within the electrical wholesale or a related industry, however candidates looking to take the next step in their career such as those in internal sales will also be considered.
* Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
* Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams.
* Commercial awareness with an initiative-taking and results driven approach.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities.
* Knowledge of electrical products or experience within a technical sales environment is highly desirable.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* Full UK driving licence required for client visits.
