Job Description
Working within the Maintenance Team for GPA Hubs contract, providing building maintenance services to support this prestigious Central Government client. Based on site for a nationally recognised client, you will be responsible for the smooth supervision of the team and of the operations and PPM schedule of the building. The Engineering Supervisor shall be experienced to undertake PPM and Reactive maintenance tasks across the buildings. Additionally, they may be required to liaise in project works on the estate. The applicant will be expected to take responsibility for the delivery of these tasks to meet the requirements of the contract and agreed KPI’s. As the Engineering Supervisor, you will ensure that all maintenance work is carried out effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner. Furthermore, ensuring that all training and competency of the team is kept up to date and relevant to the requirements of the site, and customers business. You will act as a key interface between the engineering team and managerial functions in order to support clear communication and delivery of key engineering delivery, metrics, KPI’s and SLA’s.
Key Responsibilities
1. To provide building Electrical and other work stream task completion to site and support the site FM.
2. Support out-of-hours response in emergency situations and support engineering call out rota as and when necessary, and to implement any necessary escalation procedures to the engineering management team as and when required.
3. Help to ensure the Maintenance team complete full self-delivery of all possible tasks for site.
4. To complete PPMs and reactive work orders within given timescales and with accurate information.
5. Ability to work to detailed maintenance task briefs and procedures
6. Escorting of contractors working under the jurisdiction of ISS.
7. Manage the consumables and critical spare parts stock levels for site, including identifying and updating as appropriate to building maintenance.
8. Ensure that the building is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Personal Specification/qualifications:
* Evident Supervisory experience (ILM or equivalent desirable)
* Formal Electrical Qualifications (LV/HV knowledge highly desirable)
* Strong understanding of compliance and Health & Safety (IOSH desirable)
* Client focused skills
* Excellent communication and prioritisation skills
* AP in city and guilds or equivalent (desirable)
* Water hygiene responsible qualification (desirable)
* Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
* Health and Safety Training within a similar environment.
* Knowledge of Asset management / CAFM / use of PDA’s to manage workflow.
Experience: Good knowledge of Electrical works and repairs in a building maintenance environment. Extensive experience of working within a multi-disciplinary technical environment within complex facilities, incorporating maintenance and engineering services is essential.
Skills:
* Excellent all-round ability in a busy building maintenance team.
* Previous experience working within FM industry including management of tasks, closing of work on CAFM system etc.
* Ability to take instruction and react to the needs of the department and prioritise workload accordingly.
