What's the role and what will you be doing?
As an associate consultant in our pensions administration department, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day administration of defined benefit pension schemes for several clients. You will ensure that tasks outlined in our guide on the "day-to-day running of a client" are completed.
The role requires you to be well-organized, have an aptitude for figures, and great attention to detail. In return, you will be offered a structured career path and a full training program.
* Checking and reviewing work done by junior team members, including method, arithmetic, and overall reasonableness.
* Developing a full awareness of our procedures and ensuring these are followed during reviews.
* Demonstrating good knowledge of current legislation and awareness of proposals impacting clients. Discuss current issues with junior team members and flag potential issues to the client lead or partner.
* Monitoring weekly industry and legislative updates via internal news bulletins.
* Ensuring all compliance matters are completed accurately and timely.
* Developing in-depth knowledge of client rules, nuances, and practices; flagging issues impacting benefit structures and processes.
* Maintaining day-to-day contact with clients, ensuring satisfaction with the service provided.
* Supporting the development of junior team members, assisting with work management, and delegating tasks considering fees and experience.
* Updating team leaders on resourcing and anticipating work peaks.
* Mentoring junior team members through exams as appropriate.
* SUGGESTING and implementing efficiencies in our pensions administration database.
