The Opportunity:
My client, operating successfully in the sustainability sector, is currently looking for a QA Analyst. In this role, you will perform hands-on manual testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
You will work closely with QA team members, product managers, developers, and DevOps teams in an agile environment to ensure product quality and stability. Your responsibilities include creating clear test documentation, managing defect lifecycles, supporting automation frameworks, and executing SQL queries to validate data and interact with databases.
Please note: this role is not fully remote, and there is no flexibility on the requirement to work 2 days a week in the Exeter offices.
Skills and Experience:
* At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Software Testing or as a QA Analyst, with a strong foundation in manual testing and supporting automation frameworks.
* Experience with manual testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
* Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or X-ray is beneficial.
* Experience working in agile teams, collaborating with developers, product managers, and DevOps to meet sprint goals and deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively.
* Familiarity with Git for version control and collaboration on code repositories.
* Good understanding of SQL queries to validate data and interact with databases.
* Exposure to testing in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and understanding of microservices architecture is advantageous.
* ISTQB Foundation level certification or similar in software testing or quality assurance.
* Understanding of SDLC, performance testing tools (Gatling, LoadRunner, Locust), and CI/CD practices (CircleCI, Jenkins).
