Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council to recruit Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join their Family Safeguarding Teams within Children’s Social Care.
Oxfordshire has embedded the Family Safeguarding model across its services, placing relationship-based, strengths-led, and trauma-informed practice at the centre of its work with children and families. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking authority committed to delivering sustainable change and improving outcomes for children at risk.
The Role
As a Social Worker / Senior Social Worker within the Family Safeguarding Team, you will:
Build purposeful and trusting relationships with children, young people, and families to support positive and lasting change.
Complete high-quality, strengths-based assessments that clearly analyse risk, need, and protective factors.
Manage children subject to child protection and child in need plans, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary Family Safeguarding model, alongside partner professionals.
Develop and review robust safety and support plans that reduce risk and promote family resilience.
Prepare clear, analytical reports for conferences, reviews, and court where required.
For Senior Social Workers: provide professional guidance, mentoring, and support to less experienced colleagues.
