Secondary School in Sunderland

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Admin Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Sunderland. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, offering the chance to play a key part in supporting the smooth running of a busy school office.

As the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, you will provide essential administrative support, helping the school maintain an efficient and friendly environment. Duties include:

* Handling calls, emails, and enquiries from the school community
* Managing pupil records and database systems
* Contributing to attendance procedures, registers, and safeguarding protocols
* Providing day-to-day administrative assistance to senior leadership

* Previous experience working in a school office is essential
* Strong organisational and communication abilities
* Competency in IT systems (SIMS experience desirable)
* A professional, approachable manner and genuine commitment to supporting young peoples education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
