Are you thinking about a career in teaching, psychology, counselling—or just love the idea of supporting young people and making a real difference every day?

We’re partnered with brilliant schools in West Yorkshire who are on the lookout for caring, curious, and committed individuals to join their SEND teams. Whether you're a recent graduate or someone with experience supporting young people, this could be the perfect first (or next!) step in your career.

We’re currently working with mainstream primary and secondary schools, as well as specialist provisions. Let’s talk about the role that best suits you—and how we can help you get there.

What the Role Involves:

* Supporting students with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech or communication difficulties.
* Helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom with tailored academic and emotional support.
* Working 1:1 or in small groups to build confidence, routine, and progress.
* Collaborating with teaching staff and SENCOs to create inclusive learning spaces.
* Using your empathy and initiative to build trust and break down barriers to learning.

What We’re Looking For:

* Someone with experience working with young people (schools, youth work, care, etc.)
* A calm, consistent presence who brings patience and positivity
* SEND or TA Level 3 qualifications are great, but not essential, training will be provided!
* An interest in education, psychology, or child development
* Above all, someone who genuinely cares and thrives to make a positive impact to young people.

Role Details:

* Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:15pm or 8:30am – 3:30pm.
* Term-time only (16 weeks of holiday per year!)
* Long-term contracted roles, with the potential to go permanent.
* Contract commencing in Sept 2025, with flexibility for the right candidates.

Why Join Protocol Education?

* Free CPD training all year round
* Support from your own dedicated consultant
* Referral rewards when you recommend a friend
* Weekly PAYE pay—no umbrella companies, no hidden deductions
* A foot in the door at schools that really value what you bring

If you’re ready to support young people who need a little extra care—and gain experience that’ll shape your future—APPLY NOW or send your CV to georgia.tams@protocol-education.com.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.
