What does the role look like?
* Working as a member of the SEND team, to lead the provision in the Lantern hub.
* Planning a fully specialised curriculum to support the learning and progress of all students who have barriers to learning within the SEND framework, particularly those with ASD and Communication Difficulties.
* Assessing progress to make sure each child is on an appropriate pathway.
* Communicating with parents regularly to build good relationships and inform them of progress.
* Working in a designated hub classroom with a class of up to 6 children and a team of 3 to 4 adults.
What can we offer you?
* Planning support from the EYFS team to ensure the provision matches the children’s needs and is ambitious.
* Support from the SENDCO and assistant SENDCO with planning, assessment, and training needs.
* 10% of teaching time allocated to Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) plus any additional time for career development or training.
* Advice from outside agencies: CAT, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Behaviour support. Educational Psychologist and support from the SEND team to implement strategies.
* Training in relevant SEND approaches and interventions e.g. PECS, Little Wandle phonics, Team Teach etc

* A teacher who has experience of working in a school and works hard to get the best outcomes for all pupils.
* Understands how to enthuse, engage and motivate pupils.
* Builds positive relationships with all members of the school community and promotes high morale.
* Promotes the Christian ethos and values of the school.
