We are looking to recruit experienced Health Care Assistants at Frimley NHS Health Foundation Trust (FHFT) who are currently working in the UK in a healthcare setting. We have a range of Health Care Assistant (HCA) vacancies across our clinical directorates on our Frimley Park Hospital site.

Responsibilities
* Assist the nursing team with the care of patients, ensuring smooth running of the department.
* Support clinically the ward/department team, acting in the best interests of patients, and treating colleagues with respect and dignity.
* Carry out agreed clinical activities including collection of urine and faecal samples, swabs, recording of fluid intake/output, changing of stomas and urine drainage bags, catheter care, recording vital signs and the National Early Warning Score (NEWS2), and advising the registrant nurse of any changes in a patient’s condition.
* Provide care for enhanced care observation patients (1:1) or bay‑based observation as required.
* Support the implementation of plans of care for individual patients.
* Assist patients to eat and drink, including menu selection and awareness of special diets and cultural requirements.
* Assist patients in maintaining personal hygiene.
* Contribute to the safe movement of patients, mobilising and moving patients using equipment as required and following mobility assessment to ensure patient comfort.
Qualifications
* Experience in a UK healthcare setting as a Health Care Assistant.
* High level of spoken and written English.
* Ability to work under direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse/Nursing Associate.
Apprenticeship
This vacancy is linked with an opportunity for apprenticeship for those eligible. You will not be required to undertake an apprenticeship if you have previously completed a relevant apprenticeship, NVQ or similar healthcare qualification.
