About The Role Contract: Permanent Salary: £25,185 - £25,989 Pro rata £11,571 - £11,940 Hours: 17 Location: Ross Library Closing Date: 03/10/2025 Ross-On-Wye Library is looking for a Library Assistant to join our friendly team. This post is for 17 hours per week. You will work a 2 week rota. Week 1 Monday 9.15am-5.15pm, Thursday 9.15am-5.15pm, Saturday 9.15am-1.15pm. Week 2 Monday 9.15am-5.15pm, Thursday 9.15am-5.15pm. You will need to be able to provide good customer service and have an enthusiasm for helping others, providing frontline services to customers of all ages and backgrounds. You will also need good IT skills as providing digital access support is a key duty. This role also involves assisting in the operational delivery of events, initiatives and stock promotions including planning, promotion and delivery of storytelling and children’s activities. You will also need to be flexible as you may occasionally be required to work from other branches, or on different days to meet the needs of the service. A car would be advantageous.
