Parkinson Lee Executive Search has been exclusively retained by a dynamic, owner-managed B2B distribution company to appoint a strategically focused and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer. With international operations across Europe, US and Canada the business has achieved sustained double-digit growth over the past decade and doubled their revenues over the past three years. With further international expansion targeted in their strategic plan, they are looking to appoint a proven finance and business leader capable of supporting the next phase of both organic and acquisitive growth and leading them towards £100M in revenues within the next three years. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a key figure within their executive leadership team and having leadership influence over an energetic and entrepreneurial organisation, whilst providing both strategic guidance and operational oversight as a true business partner to the CEO who has installed a highly collaborative culture within this commercial environment. The Role Reporting directly to the CEO, and forming a strong partnership with the COO, Global Sales Director and Board, the CFO will play a key role in shaping and executing the company's financial strategy. The scope includes financial planning, forecasting, governance, M&A support, and business partnering across a multi-site, international group structure. Key responsibilities include: Leading financial strategy, forecasting, and long-term planning Managing international banking relationships, FX strategy, and covenant monitoring Delivering robust financial controls and compliance across multiple jurisdictions Supporting due diligence and end-to-end acquisition integration Strengthening operational efficiency and internal reporting frameworks Providing commercial insight to inform investment and business decisions Building and mentoring a high-performing, scalable finance function The Candidate We are seeking a qualified finance professional with significant experience operating as a number one in Finance and stepping into wider overall business leadership responsibilities as part of the Board within a fast-paced, growth-oriented SME, ideally within the distribution / manufacturing sectors. You will bring: A proven track record of driving financial performance in a multi-entity, international business Gravitas to lead the business and work closely with a globally mobile CEO Natural leadership at Board level working in partnership with operations and sales Experience within family owned, owner managed organisations and/or entrepreneurial business ownership models Experience in scaling businesses within high growth environments A background in M&A activity, including transaction execution and exit strategies Strong working knowledge of international tax, FX, and working capital management Adept at managing stakeholders and leading teams autonomously A hands-on, delivery-focused approach and the ability to work closely with operational teams
