About the Ward
Are you a kind caring individual who is passionate about nursing? Lilac Ward is currently a 32 bedded acute admissions ward. We accept patients from all medical specialities who are initially assessed then moved to the relevant speciality wards. We are a very busy department therefore you must be flexible and able to work under pressure, whilst being able to organise your workload. You will support the Ward Manager and Deputy Ward manager in providing the highest quality patient care in our acute setting.
Key Requirements & Application Process
* Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY at the hospital site. Remote interviews will not be available.
* The validity of Nursing and Midwifery Council PIN will be checked before shortlisting (Only applicable to registered roles). Inaccuracies in NMC PIN details will mean your application will not be progressed.

Responsibilities
* Maintain a high standard of patient-focused care in accordance with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust policies and procedures.
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
* Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.
* Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.
* Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient.
* Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct.
* Undertake duties on different wards/departments as and when required by service demands.
* Demonstrate personal responsibility for compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
