We are a national company offering market-leading heating & hot water solutions from regional offices across the East of England and Midlands, ensuring comprehensive coverage and access for our clients.
We are seeking a gas-qualified Area Supervisor to join our busy heating service & repair team.
Overview of Role:
This pivotal role involves delivering efficient heating system surveys and installations for our clients. The individual will conduct in-depth assessments of domestic properties, ensuring all solutions meet regulatory standards and align with customer needs and budgets. The role requires technical expertise, customer service skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing daily operations of operatives, providing technical support, encouragement, and training to ensure targets are met, including during on-call periods.
Leading technical discussions during monthly toolbox talks, sharing updates and addressing issues.
Promoting quality workmanship and professional attitudes, fostering employee development, good relations, team building, and high standards.
Acting as a key contact for clients, developing relationships, resolving issues, attending site visits, and providing technical overviews.
Ensuring contractual and specific client requirements are met and exceeded where possible.
Communicating procedures and requirements to operatives through daily contact and structured meetings.
Supporting regional management with training and technical support for engineers, including induction and ongoing development.
Collaborating with SHEQ to communicate updates, maintain records, and identify training needs, ensuring engineers participate in competence evidence collection.
Conducting quality checks and health & safety audits as per targets.
Providing cover for Regional Manager when needed.
Assisting with disciplinary and grievance investigations.
Required Attributes:
NVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilation or equivalent.
ACS certifications, including CCN1 and CENWAT, are preferred.
Experience in heating system surveys or domestic installations.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail for accurate survey reporting.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Full UK driving license.
