LCS is seeking committed and enthusiastic Residential Childcare Support Workers to work on a casual basis, covering shifts as needed. This opportunity offers flexibility to work the hours you can commit to, with no contractual obligation.

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, your role involves providing a responsive, customized, and quality service to young people in their individual flats or shared houses.
Young people supported by Leaving Care Solutions are vulnerable. You are responsible for ensuring that the home provides a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment for them.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
1. Working in line with person-centred risk assessments and support plans, liaising with support workers for full handovers.
2. Observing any changes in behaviour, documenting them appropriately, and reporting changes in support needs.
3. Maintaining positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication and teamwork to improve their experience.
4. Providing continuous support at the standards of day staff, with a focus on the safety of vulnerable individuals.
5. Carrying out health and safety tasks, including cleaning and adhering to policies and procedures.
6. Liaising with external agencies such as the police and Emergency Duty Team (EDT).
7. Supporting young people attending hospitals or police stations.
ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:
* Experience supporting vulnerable young people.
* Flexibility to work weekends.
* Qualifications such as Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to study towards them.
* A full driving license and access to a vehicle, as travel may be required.
