Restaurant Manager - New Opening
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the front-of-house team for an exciting new restaurant project near Henley. As Restaurant Manager, you will work closely alongside the owners to lead and inspire the restaurant team, overseeing the day-to-day running of the operation and ensuring the highest standards are consistently delivered.
This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive and enthusiastic leader who brings personality to their work and motivates their team to provide a warm, memorable guest experience. You will be fully committed to excellence in service and operations and will play a key role in shaping the culture and success of the restaurant.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing the wine list, delivering ongoing staff training, supporting back-of-house administration, and ensuring a guest experience that consistently reflects the owners ethos and long-term goals.

The Place
An exciting new country inn currently undergoing a major transformation, with the building being redeveloped to a truly best-in-class standard.
Located in a rural setting between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow, the property will offer four luxury bedrooms alongside a 45-cover pub and restaurant.
The owners vision is to create a high-quality, professional environment without unnecessary fuss, focusing on warm, genuine hospitality. Their ethos is deeply rooted in provenance and sustainability, underpinned by two Pasture for Life farms that will drive a true farm-to-fork menu. This will be complemented by a small kitchen garden and local foraging, allowing the food to reflect the seasons and surrounding landscape.
The Person
The successful Restaurant Manager will have the following:
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Restaurant Manager in a premium or fine-dining environment
Hands-on, reliable, and passionate about hospitality
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and motivate front-of-house teams
Positive, can-do attitude and a natural team leader
Excellent wine knowledge - ideally WSET Level 3 or Diploma
Interest in farm-to-fork dining and sustainability
Experience managing rotas, staff costs, and stock control
Ability to support financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting
Solid knowledge of food hygiene, health, and safety standards
