Right now, we are looking for a Waking Nights Recovery Worker to play a pivotal role in our Highbury Grove Recovery House in Highbury.
Sounds great, what will I be doing?
You will aim to support users in providing a space to improve their health and wellbeing, improve their quality of life, connecting with the community, have appropriate goals, and control in their life choices and achieve economic well-being. You will ensure all support plans focus on areas where support is needed and promote positive risk taking. Service users will be offered a range of activities and opportunities to engage in voluntary and paid work. Each service user will have a move-on plan which is reviewed every 6 months with the resettlement team.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.
Here's what the team will be looking for
A person who can demonstrable experience of supporting people with mental health and complex needs. Experience of working with people with substance misuse issues preferred. A strong understanding of Recovery approaches and co-production incl. knowledge of issues affecting those individuals The ability to create and deliver activities with clients which help them reduce anxieties, develop their confidence and self-esteem, and help them to plan for a self-defined recovery journey. The motivation to maintain consistently high delivery standards and service user standards, even when faced with unpredictable behaviour and potentially challenging situations. And knowledge of wider legislation to support people in a mental health crisis including welfare reform, the Care Act, Housing pathways.
