Pay: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour

Reeson Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in the M17 area of Trafford. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH and ASD needs in KS1.
As a Teaching Assistant in this school, you will work across both Year 1 and Year 2, providing targeted support to children who require additional help to thrive. The role will include both one-to-one support and small group interventions. The school is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant who is resilient, patient, and able to adapt to the varying needs of children.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
Work as a Teaching Assistant across Year 1 and Year 2, supporting pupils with SEMH and ASD.
Provide 1:1 and small group support in literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum activities.
Support children in regulating behaviour and developing social and emotional skills.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to deliver tailored interventions.
Maintain a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Help pupils engage in learning and build confidence in the classroom.
Support daily routines and transitions across the school day as a Teaching Assistant.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary school setting.
Strong understanding of SEMH, ASD, and additional needs.
Patient, adaptable, and resilient approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
Full commitment to a long-term role as a Teaching Assistant.
