Fantastic role, working as part of a dynamic andmercial team….. You will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller and covering a good cross-section of financial accounting with some management accounting thrown into the mix. You will be managing the day-to-day ledgers (AP & AR), but the role will also give you exposure to lots more advanced functions including (but not limited to) Accruals and Prepayments, Fixed Asset work, Intepany and balance sheet reconciliations, along with overall responsibility and management of the accounts for a couple of small subsidiaries; which I feel is really quite exciting if you want to take on somemercial challenges!
This role is very “Hands ON”….. You need to be visible and vocal; Credit Control is an element of this role, so you will need to be confident to pick up the phone and speak to your customer base. You will be working in an office environment where everyone mucks in and supports each other in non-finance tasks, so although the job spec is varied, the reality will be even more so; you will find yourself getting involved in other areas as, above all, this is a team environment.
Experience with a range of ERP packages would be an advantage…… A degree of confidence in IT systems, particularly Excel, will be greatly beneficial. You may also get the opportunity to dip into Payroll; that is managed elsewhere currently, it's not being ruled out! Essential to this role is initiative and a "can do" attitude!
