Responsibilities Reception and Office Management Provide a professional first point of contact for visitors, staff and external callers. Manage visitor sign-in, temporary passes and meeting room coordination, including AV setup where required. Monitor reception inbox and phone lines, responding or directing enquiries appropriately. Maintain visitor logs and records in line with GDPR requirements. Oversee office standards, supplies and hospitality arrangements. Support H&S compliance, including first aid stock checks, fire marshal lists and visitor safety procedures. Follow daily opening and closing procedures. Community & Stakeholder Engagement Act as a point of contact for public enquiries relating to the project, responding by phone, email and in writing, liaising with the Project Manager, Client and Social Value Lead as required. Maintain a secure communications tracker to record stakeholder engagement. Update site noticeboards following agreed sign-off processes. Attend project meetings and provide updates on stakeholder activity and emerging issues. Support the coordination and delivery of stakeholder engagement events, including occasional evening meetings. Site Visits, Communications & Social Value Coordinate and chaperone site visits for stakeholders, schools and media. Support STEM engagement activities, careers fairs and community initiatives. Draft content for noticeboards and assist with project communications and PR opportunities. Gather photographs and information to support client reporting and social value evidence. Required qualifications, skills, experience Skills & Knowledge Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to communicate professionally with stakeholders and clients Confident in managing and resolving conflict with members of the public and stakeholders Experienced in producing engaging written content Strong IT proficiency Accurate record-keeping Experience Professional experience engaging with members of the public face-to-face, by telephone, and in writing Experience working in community-based and public-facing roles Experience working within school environments and supporting young people Experience operating within a project-based environment Previous receptionist, administrative or customer-facing experience desirable. Training Full driving licence preferable CSCS card (desirable) but can be provided Qualifications GCSE Maths & English Degree or higher level qualification in a relevant subject Technology Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook The company may, from time to time, require you to undertake duties other than those outlined in this job description and/or to undertake work in other departments/sites to meet customer demands.
