What You’ll Be Doing
* Interpret requirements and produce detailed design specifications for electrical control panels and systems for cutting-edge motion generators.
* Develop, review, and approve schematics, schedules, calculations, and technical documentation to support designs.
* Specify electrical control panels and systems for subcontract design and manufacture.
* Create and manage Bill of Materials (BoM) data for electrical hardware components.
* Provide technical and functional input at all stages, from concept through to in-service support.
* Lead on-site integration, commissioning, and testing of electrical power and control systems in the UK and globally.
* Provide in-service support, including maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and fault resolution.
* Ensure all engineering outputs meet quality and regulatory standards, including EN60204, ISO12100, EMC, EN13849, NFPA79, and UL508A.
* Support cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement activities, and field installations worldwide.
About You
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng) or a related field.
* 3–4 years’ experience in electrical design, preferably within new product development or introduction.
* Proficient in electrical CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Eplan.
* Experienced in designing electrical control systems and resolving faults during build and commissioning stages.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
* Knowledgeable in relevant industry standards (EN60204, EN13849, ISO12100, EMC, NFPA79, UL508A).
* Desirable: Member of a professional institute or organisation.
